Real whale sharks can grow up to 33 feet and are the biggest fish on our planet! Our whale shark is almost 2 feet long and is knitted on size 13 needles from super bulky yarn. You could also make a significantly smaller whale shark with this pattern just by using smaller needles and thinner yarn.

In order to make the whale shark, you should be able to knit in the round and do simple increases and decreases, as well as a little bit of colorwork- though, there is an option to skip the colorwork and add it later in the form of duplicate stitch.
